Kate Pattison is a fan studies PhD candidate at RMIT in Melbourne. She also works as a Social Media Director in media and entertainment (The Idea Cult).

Kate’s research looks at the relationship between pop music fandom, creativity, and professional pathways. She is currently interviewing fans of Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Delta Goodrem and BTS for her research project.

Social Media Director

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Manage the national social media team

- Manage the Social Media Product roadmap, and develop, test and implement campaigns utilising new social media products

- Work with the core Product team on Digital Innovation projects across the business

- Create and implement social media strategies across core platforms across the business

- Create innovative, Australia first, content opportunities

- Work with our Facebook and Twitter partners to uncover content and commercial opportunities

- Work with key digital stakeholders to create a commercial social media strategy and process across the business

- Manage commercial / native social media campaigns across the Triple M, hit, and regional radio business

- Manage the escalation policies and crisis management across social media for the business

- Work closely with content and Marketing teams to create and implement digital strategies for big events - such as Press Pause, World Famous Rooftops

- Manage digital strategy and content for key partnerships - such as Victorian Racing Club

- Educate the business on social media trends and opportunities
